Anthem Health & Medical Insurance Plans in Connecticut

In Connecticut, most of the Anthem Blue Cross medical insurance plans are "open access". This means you can visit any doctor in the Anthem network without needing a referral from your primary care doctor. There are 3 types of Anthem health plans in Connecticut: 1. HMO plans, 2. Upfront deductible plans, and 3. HSA plans.

1. HMO medical plans and rates: There are only 2 Anthem HMO plans. These health insurance plans are called Bluecare plans and includes coverage for maternity benefits. Bluecare plans have copayments for doctor visits and prescriptions. These plans have a yearly $1500 deductible for hospital stays and outpatient surgery. 2. Up Front Deductible medical plans and rates: These health insurance plans are called Century Plans. There are 2 medical plans called the 80/20 plan and the 100 plan.These plans have a calendar year deductible that must be met before the plan pays your medical costs. 3. HSA compatible plans and rates: These Connecticut health insurance plans are called Lumenos Plans. These plans are like the up front deductible plans above, but have two differences.
